I have been photographing Nora since she was born. She was one of my Watch Me Grow babies. We did newborn, 4 month, 8 month, and one year photos. It is so bittersweet to photograph these sweet babies and watch them grow up so quickly. My families always come back for yearly photos and I am absolutely honored to keep documenting the years that go by. Mom wanted something neutral and she also loves greenery so creating her custom setup was so much fun and a breeze to do. I only offer simple, classic setups for cakesmash sessions. I want to keep your baby the focus of your images and not be swallowed up and lost in a bunch of props. These setups look timeless on your walls all year round and it is the perfect way to document your baby turning one. Most of the time this is the first time your baby is tasting something so sweet. So, don’t be surprised if they don’t love it right away and they might even gag. I have various ways to work through any situation to ensure that my clients will get the best photos from their cakesmash session. You don’t need to stress about anything. I do absolutely everything for you, all you have to do is show up with your baby. You are probably busy planning their first birthday party, so let me take care of this part for you. I like to shoot these a few weeks before they actually turn one, that way we have time for your ordering appointment and we can get any images ordered that you might want to use for your party decor. I highly recommend scheduling your one year photos when your baby is about 6 months old. My calendar books up very quickly and I am often times booked solid 6 months out. I sometimes have last minute openings but this does not happen very often, especially for cakesmash sessions since so much planning goes into these. I also have to place your cake order and my baker is also booked months in advance as well. So, just keep this in mind when you are thinking of birthday photos. I often times have clients book one year photos before their baby is even born. I do have a Belly to Baby package that includes Maternity + Newborn photos and this is my most popular package that is booked. You save on your session fees if you book multiple sessions at one time.
