CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | ZEPEDA OUTDOOR FAMILY SESSION

Sarah and I have been friends for years, she is also a local photographer. I have been documenting her family since her second child, Frankie was a newborn. It is always such a compliment when another photographer trusts you and books you. Sarah and her family are soon moving to New Mexico, her husband is a recruiter in the United States Air Force and they have been relocated there for the next six years. I can’t even imagine the gorgeous terrain that Sarah will get to shoot out there. I hear it is quite beautiful and traveling out west again is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe a quick trip out there will be in my future. Sarah contacted me and had to have one last family session with me before they relocated. I completely styled the family with pieces from my studio closet and man did they look amazing! One of the first things I tell my families when we are starting a family session is: “do not look at me unless I tell you to” I specialize in creating connection and emotion with your family. We will play games with the kids and get them warmed up and it is almost like I am not even taking their pictures. Out with the days of forcing the kids to look at the camera and smile. Trust me, we will get those genuine smiles and I am able to capture the true personality of your child through play, snuggles, and interaction within the family. We shot their gorgeous session at a lake in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This is a location that I often use for my clients and they absolutely love it. We don’t have the beach in Missouri but this “beach” works great in adding that water feature to your images and let’s face it, it makes the kids super happy and we all have a good time. Sarah had her hair and makeup done at Eden Health Spa in Salon located in downtown Cape Girardeau. This is a service that is offered and included in every session that I offer.
